Dangerous Goods 2005 Rule

Who is this course for?
This course is designed specifically for individuals wanting to learn how to transport and handle hazardous and Dangerous Goods legally and safely in New Zealand and obtain “D” endorsement on their licence.
You must comply with Dangerous Goods 2005 Rule at any time you are handling or transporting Dangerous Goods by land unless you fall under exemptions prescribed by DG rule 2005.
How to Get D Endorsement?
We have 3 great options for you depending on your situation:
DG course (New)
If you’re planning to transport dangerous goods for hire or reward, a “D endorsement” on your license is required.
Our course is designed to guide you through the process using real-world examples. You’ll learn about documentation, choosing the right transportation methods, packaging and labeling rules, segregation, placarding, and how to handle emergencies. This course ensures you’re fully prepared to meet legal requirements and safely manage dangerous goods.
DG course (Renewal)
If you handle dangerous goods, it’s essential to keep a current “D endorsement” on your driver’s license, which must be renewed every 5 years.
This course is designed to help you refresh your knowledge of handling dangerous goods and renew your D endorsement. Stay compliant by updating your skills in documentation, transportation methods, packaging, segregation, placarding, and emergency procedures. Don’t forget—your D endorsement must be renewed every 5 years!
DG Course (Online)
This online Dangerous Goods course is perfect for those who already have their D endorsement but want to enhance knowledge, skills, and compliance. It’s also ideal if you’ve had training with other providers before but felt uncomfortable asking questions due to shyness or a language barrier.
This course helps you understand your responsibilities and comply with the rules to avoid financial penalties or, worse, injuries due to lack of knowledge.
